Andreas Schleicher (OECD) presentation at the Center for Educational Leadership at Trinity

So, how bad is it? Looking at successful education programs in other countries makes us even more aware of the problems here, but also gives us ideas about how to do things better.  Standardized assessment is essential to making improvements.

Andreas Schleicher, from the OECD Programme for International Student Assessment, gave a presentation, “Learning with the World: Lessons in Education from the Highest Performing Nations”, earlier this year for the Center for Educational Leadership at Trinity University.  The Department of Education at Trinity University posted links for those who could not attend or who want more information:
