School board elections 2013: Northside ISD

Three seats on the Northside ISD Board of Trustees are on the May 11 ballot; one race is contested. UPDATE: “Northside board president faces challenger”, Francisco Vara-Orta, San Antonio Express-News, April 26, 2013.

District 5: Katie Reed is running for reelection unopposed.

District 6: Carol Berg Harle is running for the seat vacated by Randy Fields.

District 7: Scott Guller is challenging Board President Karen Freeman. The San Antonio Express-News has endorsed Freeman. “Keep Freeman on NISD board”, San Antonio Express-News, April 29, 2013.

The remaining board members:

  • District 1: George Lynn Britton, Jr., Secretary
  • District 2: Bennie L. Cole
  • District 3: M’Lissa M. Chumbley
  • District 4: Robert Blount, Jr.
