Generation 17 charter applicants: Where are they now?

State Board of Education NewsIn November 2012, the Texas State Board of Education granted Generation 17 charters to eight applicants. (Read more in this earlier post.) Where are they now?

Last year, the Center for Teaching and Learning narrowly missed getting a Generation 17 charter; this year, they have reapplied for a Generation 18 charter, which is still under review. “Nonprofit wants to start open-enrollment public charter school”, Kassia Micek, Courier (Montgomery County), January 17, 2011.
