Siblings

We are home with our kids for quarantine schooling, and for many of us that means supervising siblings who have different needs. Inga shared about her own experience with Annika, age 10, who likes Zoom calls, and Nicholas, age 12, who is on the autism spectrum and gets shy about online office hours.

Sometimes parents will take turns helping the younger kids who need more one-on-one support, even if that happens in the evening after a work day. It can help to go to the porch or the backyard so an older child can child work at a table while a younger child plays in the dirt. Tracy Kowald commented that sometimes her kids need to spread out around the house. How are you making school-at-home work with siblings?
