We are honored to share this guest post by the team at David’s Legacy Foundation about the David Molak Kindness Scholarship. We encourage you to look back at our September 2020 blog post, “Fighting Cyberbullying in the Age of Distance Learning,” for information such as how to spot signs that your child may be a victim of bullying and resources for keeping your child safe and effectively learning during the pandemic.
The David Molak Kindness Scholarship
David’s Legacy Foundation is excited to share information about the David Molak Kindness Scholarship. The scholarship was created to honor exceptional graduating seniors in Bexar County public schools—including independent school districts and charter schools—who embody the kindness and love David showed his family and friends during his 16 years of life.
To apply for the scholarship, individuals must complete the online application in its entirety, to include a brief, 250-word essay. Students who exemplify qualities such as kindness, generosity, and compassion can be nominated by school personnel. Self-nominations are also welcome. Applications are currently being accepted through our website with a deadline of March 31, 2022 at 11:59 PM.
Recipients of the David Molak Kindness Scholarship will be individuals who are acutely aware that their kindness toward others has a positive impact on the community and those around them. If this sounds like your graduating senior, or someone you know, please share the opportunity with them.
Recognizing Kindness, Generosity, and Compassion
This year, David’s Legacy Foundation will award three exceptional San Antonio students with the $1,000 David Molak Kindness Scholarship. The scholarship award represents an individual’s contribution to making the world a kinder and more tolerable place. A little bit of kindness goes a long way, and our scholarship recipients will be individuals who show an abundance of kindness that makes a lasting impact in the lives of others.
The David Molak Kindness Scholarship is a wonderful opportunity to recognize a graduating senior who goes above and beyond to make a positive difference in the lives of others, and our community. Our hope is that with assistance from this scholarship for their freshman year in college, recipients will continue to spread kindness into their adult life.
