District 4 has a four-way race:
- Incumbent Adela Segovia (also the board’s Assistant Secretary) survived a six-way race in 2009. She has been criticized for her role (by act or omission) in the destruction of a mural, “Hispanic Soccer! - Fernando Velazquez (campaign website) is a community organizer who fought to save the mural and to save Burbank High School from closure in 2009. He has the endorsement of the Stonewall Democrats of San Antonio. - Arthur Valdez, Jr. (campaign website) is the father of muralist Vincent Valdez and has the endorsement of the San Antonio Alliance of Teachers and Support Personnel and the San Antonio Express-News.
