I am writing to you today to share the latest developments in the search for our first school location. Great Hearts Texas is in negotiations for a 5-year lease agreement with Temple Beth-El, located at 211 Belknap Place, to house our first campus in downtown San Antonio. This campus would mark the first of as many as six Great Hearts campuses scheduled to open over the next 5 years throughout San Antonio.
I am extremely excited about the opportunity to lease space from Temple Beth-El for our first Great Hearts Academy – San Antonio campus. This beautiful, historic and iconic building in the heart of downtown San Antonio offers a central location for so many interested families, and will most certainly be a convenient location for our first school in San Antonio.
The lease agreement is pending, based on approval by Temple Beth-El’s board of trustees. When approved, we will hold a community wide informational meeting in October to provide a more detailed update on the new school, make an important fall Open Enrollment announcement, and answer questions about Great Hearts Academies.
