Would you like to learn more about KIPP: San Antonio? The next First Friday Breakfast will be at KIPP Camino Academy, 128 S. Audubon Dr., San Antonio, Texas 78212 (map), on Friday, February 7, 2014, from 7:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
The breakfasts feature a free buffet with tacos, coffee, juice, and more. School leaders, teachers, and students will share their stories. The students themselves will lead visitors on a tour of their campus. RSVP to Dina Cruz at 210-279-5525 or dcruz@kippsa.org. More details in this invitation.
At January’s breakfast, at KIPP Aspire Academy (earlier post), a student did such a good job explaining what KIPP: San Antonio is all about that CEO Mark Larson had nothing to add. On the campus tour, visitors saw reminders of the KIPP approach, including the character strengths (pictured above).
If you can’t make it to February’s breakfast, then please mark your calendars for Friday, March 7, 2014, when the breakfast will be at KIPP University Prep, 319 E. Mulberry Ave., San Antonio, Texas 78212 (map). (Note: this is the future location of Great Hearts Monte Vista North, as mentioned in this earlier post.)
