Anne Frank Inspire Academy delaying opening until Fall 2014

Disappointing news for students and families who were expecting to attend Anne Frank Inspire Academy this fall. Posted today on the charter school’s Facebook page and this news release:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Anne Frank Inspire Academy will not be opening this fall. The construction of the school campus is not completed and ready for occupancy, and so we have had to delay our opening until the 2014-2015 school year. We remain committed and passionate about opening our middle school and creating a school that offers a 21st century education, including an integrated academic curriculum, intimate learning studios, outdoor learning spaces, and seamless technology.

We look forward to sharing the progress of the construction and to preparing for our school opening in 2014. Our staff is available to answer any questions you may have and to help in any way possible.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact Brenda Murphy, Director of Inspire Academies or John Buzzard, Principal of Anne Frank Inspire Academy, at (210) 638-5900.

Anne Frank Inspire Academy is part of the John H. Wood Jr. Public Charter District. Here is an earlier post about information sessions; here is an earlier post about the construction of a treehouse classroom.
