These applicants received charters:
- Carpe Diem Schools–San Antonio (application); a Choose to Succeed partner; more information about their interview in this earlier post
- El Paso Leadership Academy (application)
- Great Hearts Academies Dallas (application)
- Magnolia and Redbud Montessori for All (application); Austin and San Antonio
These applicants did not receive charters:
- EXCEL Center (application); Goodwill, Austin
- Destiny Preparatory (application–3rd attempt); Waco
- Rivercrest Academy (application); Fort Worth, to use space at Harvest Assembly of God
- Urban Lyceum (application); 5 Thoughts, Austin
- Beta Academy (application–2nd attempt); Houston
- Gardens of Learning, Rio Grande Valley (application–2nd attempt); Weslaco
- Iwin Preparatory (application–2nd attempt); Terrell, to use space at Terrell First Assembly of God
- High Point Academy (application–2nd attempt); Fort Worth
