“College For All Children”: IDEA college signing day 2012

The IDEA Public Schools motto is “College For All Children.” They are not kidding. As part of their spring graduation festivities, every senior from all three high school campuses in the Rio Grande Valley announced which four-year college they are attending. They call this “college signing day.”

What is the San Antonio connection? IDEA Public Schools is coming to San Antonio in 2012-13 with the handover of IDEA Carver. That campus will serve grades K-6, but IDEA has already announced plans for a new campus to serve grade 7 by 2013-14. So, it won’t be long before San Antonio is building its own “college signing day” traditions.
