The next First Friday Breakfast will be at KIPP Un Mundo Dual Language Academy from 7:45 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on April 12. Eat breakfast tacos and drink coffee, hear from KIPP: San Antonio leaders and teachers, and—best of all—take a campus tour led by KIPP Un Mundo students. Yes, kindergarteners. KIPP: San Antonio is in expansion mode, as part of the Choose to Succeed initiative, and with help from the Brackenridge Foundation and the Ewing Halsell Foundation. I am looking forward to hearing more about their expansion plans, including KIPP Esperanza, set to open in 2013.
