[Gallery] Holidays in Bloom at the San Antonio Botanical Garden

The San Antonio Botanical Garden is decorated for the season with the Holidays in Bloom exhibit. This year’s decorations use more natural materials, like burlap and pine cones. There’s a great photo op at the tall, glittery Christmas tree on the path between the carriage house and the formal gardens. The conservatories are packed with vivid red poinsettias.

The botanical garden is one of my favorite ways to enjoy the holidays because it’s beautiful and festive, but there is so much open space that it never feels crowded. A brisk walk in the fresh air always improves my mood, even when winter days are short. My kids love having space to run around.
