Growth at KIPP: San Antonio

In a Thanksgiving message to supporters, KIPP: San Antonio CEO Mark Larson discussed growth plans:

In September, we publically announced the next phase of our strategic plan to expand our reach from four schools to fifteen schools in the next 10 years, growing from serving 1,200 students to 8,500 students in inner-city San Antonio.

To prepare for the growth, KIPP: San Antonio hired several future school leaders for training. However, they were recently let go due to budget problems. “Five lose jobs at charter school”, Lindsay Kastner, San Antonio Express-News, November 20, 2012.

Larson’s message also touts the 120 kindergarten students who are starting their journey at KIPP Un Mundo this year. I hope you will join me at the First Friday Breakfast at KIPP Un Mundo at 7:45 a.m. on December 7.
