IDEA Public Schools is opening a new campus in Brownsville this week. “IDEA opens Paredes Line campus”, Gary Long, Brownsville Herald, August 19, 2012. IDEA Brownsville starts with kindergarten through second grade and sixth grade; they will add new kindergarten and sixth grade classes every year until 2018. So many students were on the waiting list for IDEA Frontier (also in Brownsville) that it made sense to open another campus.
More IDEA campuses opening this fall: IDEA Carver Academy in San Antonio and IDEA Allen in Austin (an Austin ISD in-district charter).
