Parents and kids turn out for the BASIS San Antonio information session

I couldn’t make it to the BASIS San Antonio information session last night (details in this earlier post) but my mom, Kim Munsinger, went and took some pictures for me. Thanks, mom!

Tiffany O’Neill and Nick Fleege spoke to a packed room of parents and kids. The presentation focused heavily on the BASIS curriculum and practical questions like the school day schedule. There’s more information at the frequently asked questions page.

Construction is underway at the campus on Floyd Curl Drive at Hamilton Wolfe Road (earlier post). The new school is going to look awesome (earlier post) and will be ready in time (earlier post). Several teachers have been hired with the help of student feedback at demonstration lessons; more job openings are listed at the careers page.

BASIS San Antonio is still accepting registrations. Get started at www.basislink.org and then bring the form to the temporary office, 9901 Interstate Highway 10, Suite 800, San Antonio, Texas 78230 (map). If enough families sign up for the interest list, BASIS San Antonio will open another campus for 2014-15.

Finally, I can’t resist linking to this guest post from Emma, a ten-year-old future BASIS student.
