- State Board of Education, District 5: incumbent Ken Mercer beat Steve Salyer in the Republican primary
- State Senator, District 25: incumbent Jeff Wentworth will face Donna Campbell in a runoff Republican primary on July 31. “Wentworth will face Campbell; Jones out”, John W. Gonzalez, San Antonio Express-News, May 30, 2012.
- State Representative, District 117: Tina Torres and Philip Cortez will enter a runoff Democratic primary on July 31
- State Representative, District 121: incumbent Joe Straus beat Matt Beebe in the Republican primary
- State Representative, District 125: Justin Rodriguez beat Delicia Herrera in the Democratic primary
