SAISD Legislative Priorities oppose legislation to raise charter cap

On November 12, the San Antonio ISD board of trustees approved its 2013 Legislative Priorities, including:

SAISD opposes legislation that would . . . [r]emove the statutory cap on the number of charter schools authorized.

By contrast, the State Board of Education recently voted to recommend raising the cap from 215 to 225. “Texas education board wants end-of-course exam rule scrapped”, Terrence Stutz, Dallas Morning News, November 16, 2012, and my earlier post.
