These recipes—fruit and marshmallow skewers, and a spiced yogurt and honey dip—are part of the Spooky Snack Board activities developed by Chef Dave Terrazas, owner of Foodie Classroom, for our Charter a Voyage of Learning guide.
Fruit and Marshmallow Skewers With Spiced Yogurt and Honey Dip
¾ cup Greek yogurt, plain
3 tbsp honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon
~
6 each wooden skewers, 6” long
6 each marshmallows
6 each strawberries
6 each blackberries
2 each medium size peaches or plums
In a small mixing bowl, combine the first four ingredients and stir together well. Transfer dip to a ramekin, cover dip with plastic wrap and transfer to the refrigerator until service time.
Slice one of the peaches (or plums) into six equal slices.
To make each skewer, slide a marshmallow almost to the end of the skewer, and follow the marshmallow in this order: a strawberry, another marshmallow, and a peach slice.
Top the end of the skewer with a blackberry.
Serve skewers and dip together.
