Early Learning Activities with Mrs. Gupta

Summer is my favorite time because it’s when I can be my own children’s teacher. I love making a schedule and follow it to practice reading, writing, math, and science through fun early learning activities.

Today I have shared some fun math activities, measuring activity and an interactive writing activity with you. Parents can modify the activities to make them more suitable for their own children.

Early Childhood Learning Activities

Two of these activities are about math—addition and subtraction. One is about science, and another is about writing.

Fun Addition and Craft

This activity will help children to develop fine motor skills and math skills. Younger siblings can join in the craft part, too.

Subtraction with Manipulatives

I have tried this math activity with my first grader, and this activity will definitely help in developing math skills.

Measuring Solid and Liquid

This experiment is the activity that my children enjoyed the most!

Interactive Writing: Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich

I always enjoy writing with my first grader. For my pre-K kid, I engage her with drawing pictures, which goes well with the writing. I highly recommend using this kind of activity to build confidence in your young writer. If your little one is not comfortable with writing, then they can draw pictures.

These activities are most suitable for pre-K and kindergarten. You can always modify them depending on your own children’s interests and abilities. I hope you and your children enjoy these learning activities as much as my princesses and I did!
