The opening date for two Northeast ISD elementary schools (Las Lomas and Vineyard Ranch) has been delayed again, this time until January 7. “New NEISD schools delayed again”, Lindsay Kastner, San Antonio Express-News, September 18, 2012. As noted earlier, these new elementary schools continue the trend of families moving to the edge of town seeing better public schools, while inner city districts are left with hollowed-out campuses.
